Twisted Kids have developed an integrated program for healthy children in order to solve the problem with the growing number of children with obesity and overweight.
The widespread obesity and inactive lifestyle of our future generation are contributing to the ever-growing health epidemic. The Bulgarian Ministry of Sports have identified that 80% of Bulgarian youths are overweight and physically inactive, stemming from the lifestyle of their families, and more broadly, a lack of knowledge about physical activity and health in society. Consequently, as overweight children grow up to be adults, they are exposed to increased health risks. Obesity reduces life expectancy by up to nine years, and many chronic diseases could be prevented by maintaining a healthy weight.
To solve this challenge, Twisted Kids developed an integrated program that helps children maintain their healthy weight and prevent obesity. It offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lessons, games to encourage healthy eating, and seminars showing parents how to encourage their children to love healthy eating and physical activity. Its goal is to decrease the number of children with obesity in the program and help them develop a healthier lifestyle.
